Environment Agency/Industry IPPC Compliance Group

A joint Environment Agency/Industry PPC Implementation Group was set up in June 2003. The group advised the waste treatment and storage sector on key issues to concentrate on when writing applications for PPC Permits.

Following the permitting of the sector, the focus of the group changed to compliance and the group became the Environment Agency/Industry IPPC Compliance Group.

The group aims to help operators interpret and comply with permit conditions, review Environment Agency sector guidance, communicate details of compliance campaigns and identify opportunities to progress development of the sector.
