Applying for deposit for recovery activities?
If you're recovering waste and permanently depositing it on land for construction or land reclamation you must provide us with your waste recovery plan with your application. Your plan must comply with Regulatory Guidance Note 13. We recommend that you let us see your plan before you submit your application. It's better if we agree that your proposal is waste recovery before you apply for a recovery permit:
Submit your completed waste recovery plan to your local environment management team for assessment. The team will refer your submission to the recovery versus disposal assessment group. We will try to let you know whether your proposal is recovery or disposal within ten working days for the date we receive the information.
